COVID 19 Updates and Important Information

The impact on Coronavirus (Covid19) on the travel industry has been immense. The Spanish government announced on Saturday 14th March an official restriction of movement which will last at present until mid June. Slowly slowly life is getting back to normal and we look forward to conduct business as usual within a number of weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

We have decided to compile some of the most frequently asked questions which we have been getting from our clients. We hope this could be of help.

Q- What are my options if I am due to pay my balance payment?

A – For the moment we are only taking balance due payments for our direct bookings with stays from July onwards. If travel is not possible we shall move forward your dates and any balances paid to a date which suits you in the future up until December 2020 (changes for 2021 need to be consulted beforehand)

Q- Am I entitled to a refund if I cannot travel due to travel restrictions?

A- As a company we provide holiday accommodation and not package holidays and thus we are not affiliated with the ABTA. If you book an accommodation only holiday you are not covered by the Package Travel Regulations so we cannot offer refunds. However as explained above, if you are not able to travel we would still like to have you with us in Lanzarote at a later date. If your booking is after the end of July, we ask you to please wait for at least a few weeks before your arrival date to see if there are any new measures since the situation is changing week by week. Should you not be able to travel we will be more than happy to change your stay to dates in the future until December 2020 (changes for 2021 need to be consulted beforehand)

Q- Will there be any additional charges if I move my booking to dates in the future?

A- In some cases there may be a small increase in price, this depends if the new dates are in high season or not.  For example if your original booking dates were during low season and you move your booking to dates during higher seasons, then there may be a slight increase in price.

Q- I do not want to move my booking to dates in the future, what are my options?

A- If you do not wish to move your holiday to dates in the future then we can provide you with a cancellation invoice to claim what you have paid with your insurance company or credit card providers. You must explain to them that you have booked accommodation only that is not protected by the Package Travel Regulations.

Q- I have booked a holiday this summer and I am worried it will be affected.

A- Please be rest assured that we are trying our best to help everyone and whenever it is possible. If your booking is after the end of July, we ask you to please wait for at least a few weeks before your arrival date to see if there are any new measures since the situation is changing week by week. Should you not be able to travel we will be more than happy to change your stay to dates in the future until December 2020 (changes for 2021 need to be consulted beforehand). This way you will not lose your money paid and you will still be able to enjoy your holiday.

Q- What if I decide myself, I do not want to travel for dates in the future that restrictions are not yet confirmed for.

A- If official travel regulations are not in place and you decide not to travel then your booking would be subject to normal booking conditions and cancellation charges. We can provide you will a cancellation invoice which represents the amount you have already paid to provide to your insurance agency. 

Q- I am considering booking a villa for the future but I am worried about losing my deposit if I cannot travel due to Coronavirus.

A- We are already accepting bookings for stays from July 2020 up to December 2021. If your travel dates are affected by COVID-19, for example tourism flights are prohibited, then we will be more than happy to change the dates of your stay to ones in the future. This way you will not lose the deposit paid and you can still enjoy your holidays at a later date.  

Q- I do not have travel insurance. Should I buy it now?

A- We always strongly recommend that our clients take out travel insurance at the same time as booking your holiday. However, most travel insurers have suspended new policies offering coverage due to Coronavirus related issues. We suggest that you check with your insurance provider for more information.
