If you manage to peel your eyes off the horizon, the majestic Corona volcano is definitely a must see. It is the oldest volcano in Lanzarote and is responsible for the formation of the well known tourist attractions of Jameos del Agua and Cueva de los Verdes. These touristic centres are located only a five minute drive away.
Punta Mujeres and the surrounding areas are perfect for active tourism. Many treks and bicycle routes pass through these picturesque towns and areas, such as Punta Muejres, Arrieta and Caleton Blanco. The sea is usually very calm and is perfect for long swims and paddle surf sessions. It is true that there are days when the sea is quite rough, these rough seas and winds bring about great waves for surf enthusiasts. Some of the best surf sports in the area are Espinos and Jameos.
