References on this Web Site to “we”, “company”, “our” and “us” are references to Lanzarote getaways.
We endeavor to ensure that all the information and prices both on our website and in our brochures are accurate; however occasionally changes and errors occur and we reserve the right to correct prices and other details in such circumstances. You must check the current price and all other details relating to the arrangements that you wish to book before submitting Your Booking Form.
- Booking and Payment
In order to confirm your chosen arrangements, you must pay a 25% deposit of the total cost at the time of booking then tenants will receive a confirmation voucher by Lanzarote Getaways, however please check on our website where you will see the exact deposit required to book your chosen arrangements. You will also be advised of the specific deposit applicable to your chosen arrangements during the booking process. If you are booking within 8 weeks of departure, full payment will be required at the time of booking. Your booking is confirmed and a contract between you and us will exist when we send you written confirmation.
Please check your confirmation carefully and report any incorrect or incomplete information to us immediately. Please ensure that names are exactly as stated in the relevant passport. As we act only as booking agent, we have no responsibility for any errors in any documentation except where an error is made by us.
If you have paid a deposit, you must pay the full balance by the date notified to you. If full payment is not received within 7 days of the balance due date, we may proceed and cancel your booking and charge the cancellation fees set out in the booking conditions.
Payments can be made securely by Visa, MasterCard or bank transfer. Card payments carry a 2.5% processing fee.
Please Note: For bookings made within 2 months of the booking start date, payment in full and by bank transfer is required. Payment by credit card may be accepted subject to clearance of our credit card fraud checks.
On making a booking with us, you agree that you:
- have read these Agency Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them;
- are over 18 years of age and where placing an order for services with age restrictions you declare that you and all members of your party are of the appropriate age to purchase those services; and
- accept financial responsibility for payment of the booking on behalf of all persons detailed on the booking.
Once confirmation deposit has been received you will immediately receive a formal confirmation voucher, stating your name, accommodation type, number of pax, dates, price, deposit paid, due balance and due date and booking conditions.
You are responsible for checking that the details in the Booking Form are correct. In the event that any details are incorrect, you must inform us as soon as possible and in no case later than within 48 hours from having received Our Booking Confirmation. Notification must be sent by email and post. We shall not be held responsible for any errors which have not been notified to us within the time stipulated herein.
- Amending your booking
While we shall endeavor to accommodate changes you may wish to make to your booking arrangements, we shall not be bound to do so. Any request for changes must be sent to us by email and post by the person who made the booking. Any changes accepted by us may lead to changes in the applicable prices.
If we are unable for any reason to accept the changes requested and You do not wish to make use of the Accommodation, We shall treat this as a cancellation by You, in which case a cancellation fee, as specified below, shall be payable by You to Us. The cancellation fee shall not be payable if the only change requested is a change in the names of the persons who will be lodging at the Accommodation but in this case both You and the person to whom the booking is transferred shall be jointly and severally liable for the payment of the price.
Any request to cancel a booking must be sent or delivered to Lanzarote Getaways team in writing, and signed by the Applicant. Our cancellation policy is as follows and is based on the date we receive the notice at our offices.
- Any cancellation made up to 30 days prior to arrival- loss of deposit.
- If you cancel or modify between 29 days and 14 days before arrival we will not refund the 50% charged when booking.
- If you cancel or modify 14 days prior to arrival or if you no-show, the entire stay will be charged.
Special Rates Cancellation Policy:
Bookings that are reserved under a special rate lower than the indicated price on our website are Non refundable. The deposits taken for such bookings will not be returned under any circumstance.
- Your accommodation
The Accommodation is reserved exclusively for the people named on the Booking Confirmation and no other persons are permitted to stay at the Accommodation. You shall not allow visitors to the Accommodation for the purpose of events like parties, celebrations or other large gatherings unless this has been agreed with Us in writing in advance and appropriate payments made (if applicable).
In the event that this clause is breached, any persons which are not mentioned in the Booking Confirmation shall be requested to leave the Accommodation immediately and You will be requested to pay for the accommodation of such persons as per the charging rates specified on our website at the time of booking with you as if such persons had been lodging in the Accommodation as from the date of arrival until the date when they have been asked to leave.
You also agree not to use the Accommodation for any illegal or commercial purpose.
We reserve the right to amend advertised prices at any time. We also reserve the right to correct errors in both advertised and confirmed prices. Special note: changes and errors sometimes occur. You must check the price of your chosen arrangements at the time of booking.
You are strongly recommended to take out personal travel insurance for all members of your party. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance you purchase is adequate and appropriate for your particular needs. Please read your policy details on receipt and take them with you on holiday. We cannot be held responsible if you travel with expensive jewellery or large amounts of cash and please be aware that most holiday insurance companies have a limit on the value of individual items covered.
- Special Requests
If you have any special requests (for example dietary requirements, cots etc.), please let us know at the time of booking. We cannot guarantee that they will be met and we will have no liability to you if they are not.
If your arrival is due late at night or in the early hours of the morning we will provide you with all the information needed so that you can enter the Accommodation. For arrivals between these hours, no host will be present to greet you but a host will be available to meet you on the following day between normal working hours. However, if you still require the presence of one of our staff during your late check-in within these hours an extra charge of €35 will be applicable.
We do not accept bookings that are conditional upon any special request being met.
- Disabilities and Medical Problems
We will take reasonable steps to cater for any special requirements you may have. If you or any member of your party has any medical problem or disability which may affect your stay in the Accommodation, please provide us with full details before we confirm your booking so that we can try to advise you as to the suitability of your
- Visa, Passport and Health Requirements
It is at all times your responsibility to ensure that you comply with all passport and visa requirements applicable to your booking. Requirements may change and you are therefore strongly recommended to check the up to date position with Passport Office, appropriate embassy or consulate or your doctor as applicable in good time before departure.
- Security Deposits
A security deposit may be required by lanzarotegetaways.com to cover the cost of any damage to or breakages at the property. If a security deposit is required, it will be set out in the property details on our website or we will otherwise advise you in writing. The security deposit will either be required to be pre-paid or paid to us upon arrival. We reserves the right to refuse entry to the property should the security deposit not be paid.
The cost of any agreed damage caused by you will be deducted from the security deposit, by us and the balance will be returned to you. If the security deposit paid by you is not sufficient to cover the cost of the damage, we are entitled to recover any additional costs from you.
Delays may also arise whilst waiting for estimates for repair of damage (if applicable). We will endeavour to ensure all security deposits are returned, on behalf of the Supplier, within 75 days of departure.
In the unlikely event that any dispute as to the amount of final charges to be deducted from the security deposit arises you must liaise with us directly to try and resolve the issue amicably together. Until such time as the dispute is resolved we will continue to hold the deposit and will only release them or any part once the dispute has been amicably resolved.
- Check-in and Checkout times
The check-in and check-out times are ordinarily as follows:
(a) Check-in after 3pm on the day of arrival; and
(b) Checkout by 11am on the day of departure.
The exact check-in and check-out times for each property will be stated on our website and also in our booking correspondence.
15. After Hours Arrival Fee
It is our commitment to meet all our clients on their arrival to show them the way to property where we will explain all facilities, and forward helpful tips re the area to make sure you start your holidays stress free. However clients that are arriving after normal hours will need to choose from the following 2 options to access the house;
- Make use of our Direct Transfers service from Airport and our driver will have key to house. (We can have car hire ready for you at property)
- We can send you directions from ferry to house and leave key hidden in front of main door, however should you need assistance finding the accommodation the charges will apply as per below;
At all times during your stay at the Accommodation, You are expected to have consideration for the neighbours. If We are of the opinion that Your behaviour is such as to cause, or to be likely to cause, danger, distress, annoyance or damage to third parties or property, including the Accommodation you are staying at and furniture and furnishings in the same, We may terminate this agreement with immediate effect. In this situation, we will have no further liability to you and will not be responsible for meeting any expenses you incur as a result, making any refund or paying any compensation. You shall also be liable to pay for loss and/or damage caused by your actions and we will hold you and each member of your party jointly and severally liable for any damage or losses caused by you or any member of your party. Full payment for any such damage or losses must be paid directly to us on behalf of the owner prior to departure from the accommodation. If you fail to make payment, you will be responsible for meeting any claims (including legal costs) subsequently made against us as a result of your actions together with all costs we incur in pursuing any claim against you. We cannot be held responsible for the actions or behaviour of other guests or individuals who have no connection with your booking arrangements or with us.
If you have cause for complaint relating to the subject matter of these Booking Conditions, this must be brought to the attention of our representative at the earliest opportunity, and in no case later than 24 hours from such cause for complaint, so that action can be taken at the time to rectify the problem. The representative shall endeavor to find an appropriate solution promptly. Should the representative be unable to resolve the matter, details of the complaint must be notified to firstname.lastname@example.org by email within 24 hours from when You are informed that the representative is unable to resolve the matter or within 24 hours from when You have referred the complaint to the representative whichever is the earlier. Subject to any mandatory provision of the law which cannot be derogated from, You agree and accept that We cannot offer Your assistance unless you inform Us of causes of complaints within the time stipulated above and consequently cannot be held liable for any damages which may ensue as a result, including damages for nonperformance or improper performance of the services provided to You by Us.
- The use of the property or any amenity that may be provided by the company or by the owners are entirely at the Tenant’s risk and no responsibility will be accepted by the owners for any loss, damage or injury to persons who make use of them or any belongings of the persons who use them.
- All cars and other vehicles are parked entirely at the Tenant’s risk. Lanzarote getaways and owners can take no responsibility for any loss or damage to any car, vehicle or any contents thereof. Common areas at most of our properties are monitored by a 24 hour security cameras for your own safety.
- Whilst we will endeavor to return any baggage or personal property left behind after the holiday (subject to a charge which may be deducted from the Security Deposit) they can take no responsibility in respect thereof.
- The Tenant must be entirely responsible for the safety of any children staying in the property as part of the group or at their invitation.
- The company can take no responsibility for any loss or injury to any pet that uses the property. Whilst swimming pools are cleaned once a week with certified materials, the use of swimming pools is entirely at the Tenant’s risk. In particular all children should be properly supervised at all times by the Tenant.
- Non-availability of Property
If for any reason beyond the company and owners control the property is not available on the date booked (owing to fire damage for example) or the property becomes unsuitable for holiday letting, all rent and charges paid in advance by the Applicant will be refunded in full but the Applicant shall have no further claim against us.
An inventory is available with each property. Any discrepancy with the inventory must be reported to the Owner’s within 24 hours of arrival, otherwise it will be assumed that the inventory is correct.
Pets are not allowed unless with the specific written authorization from us. If authorized, the tenant must bring his/her pet basket with him/her. Pets are allowed on the clear understanding that in no circumstances may they lie on the bedding or chairs. Pets must not be left unattended in properties, or elsewhere. In the interest of visitors’ safety. All pet litter must be removed by tenant and we reserve the right to charge if any litter is found inside the property or around public areas.
In the event that pets are allowed Owner reserves the right to increase the amount of Security Deposit in Clause 21 of same Booking Conditions from €200 (two hundred Euro) to €500 (five hundred Euro).
- Security Deposit
Applicants/Tenants are required to give their indemnity for loss or damages, by completing our Security Letter Form (attached hereunder) on arrival at property, which pre-authorize the sum of €100 from credit card. A receipt from EPOS machine will be given for this amount by our representative. The amount of 100 will remain secured according to international credit card regulations which have a time frame of 14 days from transaction date. For clients staying for a period of two weeks or more we reserves the right to renew the pre authorization on the 14th day of stay if necessary. However should the need arise this amount can only be charged 2 working days from the departure date. Alternatively you will be required to lodge a Security Deposit of Є200 on arrival, in cash, to cover any damage to the property attributable to you that may arise; this sum will be refunded only after 24 hours from your departure after we have fully checked the property.
This sum will be held to cover additional cleaning charges of €100 (one hundred Euro) and also any other accidental losses, or damage; which may arise if the property is left in an unsatisfactory condition. Charges for replacement items, and/or extra services may be deducted from this security deposit. The company or the owner will replace any breakages with items of similar standard and the tenant is not allowed to replace items himself.
Should the amount due exceed the amount of €100 secured on credit card the extra amount will be charged to same credit card. In the case of a cash security deposit, the client will be asked to pay this within 48 hours of notice.
It is from our end to ensure that all properties are kept on high standard conditions, consequently regular maintenance, gardening, pool cleaning may be carried out during your stay. We will always try our best to not affect any part of your holiday.
The company representatives/maintenance staff shall be allowed access to the properties at any reasonable time during your stay.
- Privacy, security and cookies
Your privacy is very important to Lanzarote getaways. To help protect your privacy, we adhere to the following guidelines.
According to Law 34/2002, of July 11, services of the information society and electronic commerce, and in compliance with the provisions of Law 15/1999, of 13 December, data protection personal nature, we inform you that your email address is included in a file owned by Lanzarote getaways to continue forwarding advertising or promotional communications and news of our company that may be of interest. Your acceptance of this email involves providing explicit consent to do so under the terms established by Law 34/2002 of Services Information Society and Electronic Commerce.
- Lanzarote getaways will explicitly ask when they need information that personally identifies you or allows them to contact you (“Personal Information”). Generally this Personal Information is requested when making reservations, registering to use this website, when requesting a particular service, when sending feedback or when entering a competition.
- Lanzarote getaways will use your Personal Information to operate the sites, provide services, and to inform you of new features, services, and products, to enable us to process, validate and verify reservation and requests for services and for the purposes for which you specifically provided the information; to improve your experience on our website; to improve and develop new features and services; to alert you to new services and special offers and for other purposes
